Anyone looking to dive into the world of trail running will find the perfect opportunity with the K15. Covering 17.5 kilometers and approximately 590 meters of elevation gain, the route winds through the breathtaking Tyrolean mountains. Beautiful trails and spectacular views make this run a fantastic adventure for all trail running beginners and those currently in base training.

As part of the K15, the Austrian Championships in Trail Classic will be held in the General and Masters categories. Registration for the Austrian Championships in the Trail Classic (K15) category is done through your respective running club. Your club will register you for the races via the Austrian Athletics Federation (ÖLV).

DETAILED TRACK DESCRIPTION

The K15 Rookie Trail starts in the historic center of Hall in Tirol and leads you to the event area in the heart of Innsbruck, always following the impressive Nordkette mountain range. Along scenic paths and trails specially chosen for trail running beginners, you can enjoy the beauty of nature while challenging yourself physically.

The course takes you through Absam and along the Adolf-Pichler Trail, where the Romediwirt will be waiting for you. Gentle climbs through Thaur and Rechenhof prepare you for the highlight of the route: the downhill section via the Minzetalweg. This part requires some sure-footedness but is manageable and adds a bit of extra thrill. Finally, the finish line awaits you in the middle of Innsbruck – an unforgettable moment in the city center.

The K15 offers the perfect combination of scenic trails and a manageable distance – ideal for anyone looking to gain their first trail running experience or push their limits on a shorter course!
