For those who like it short and intense, steep and technical, and don’t mind a little suffering along the way 😉.

Short Summary

The trail marathon feels a bit too long for you, and the half marathon not challenging enough? Then the K35 is just right for you. What’s saved in kilometers is made up for with technical difficulty and elevation. With more than 1,800 meters of ascent, this course is not to be taken lightly. The climbs to Mutter Alm and up the Nordkette are demanding, but the reward awaits at the finish line in front of the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck.

Detailed Course Description

The K35 route starts at the valley station of the Mutterer Alm. From there, it climbs steeply toward Raitiser Alm and continues on smooth, flowing trails to the highest point of the course, the Mutterer Alm (1,620 meters). Rewarding trails make runners’ hearts race, and the view from Mutterer Alm down into the Inn Valley is an added bonus.

Afterward, the route descends through the Götznergraben to Birgitz, continues into the Nasse Tal, and through forests and meadows towards Völs and Kranebitten. Here, runners can gather strength at an aid station before tackling the final climb on the Durrachsteig. Strength is needed for this last ascent before heading downhill to Hungerburg and the well-deserved finish at the forecourt of the Tiroler Landestheater.
