
RACE DAY ON MAY 3 – adidas TERREX Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival: 7,200 Participants at the Starts in Tyrol
INNSBRUCK, MAY 3, 2025 – After months of anticipation, dedicated training, and focused preparation, the big day has finally arrived: Race Day at the adidas TERREX Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival! A total of 8 races took place throughout the day across Tyrol, thrilling spectators and pushing runners to their limits. With record numbers of participants and visitors, numerous victories by favorites, and a one-of-a-kind anniversary edition, the event was a resounding success.
THE “MASTERS OF INNSBRUCK” 2025
The final day of the adidas TERREX Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival was celebrated in style. At exactly midnight (from Friday into Saturday), the prestigious K110 “Masters of Innsbruck” and the K85 “Heart of the Alps Ultra” started in front of the Tyrolean State Theatre. Runners faced a challenging 111.2 km with 5,480 meters of elevation gain and 85.5 km with 3,870 meters respectively. The highlight: After 11:13:30, JOHANNES DÖRR, a resident of Innsbruck, crossed the finish line as the overall winner! He dominated the field and secured a decisive victory. Not far behind, JULIANE RÖßLER claimed the women’s title with an impressive time of 13:39:10 – a sensational win!
INCREDIBLE VICTORIES IN THE K85 & K65
In the K85, Austrian runner ALEXANDER HUTTER won with a remarkable time of 08:44:51. Eight minutes later, Italy’s FREDERICO GANASSI SPALLANZANI finished in second, followed by LORENZ GRÜNERBEL in third place. The women’s K85 was won by MIRIA MEINHEIT in a strong time of 09:22:32! Second place went to SIMONE SCHWARZ from Germany, closely followed by Austrian WONNY KEIL, just five minutes behind. At 6:00 AM, the K65 “Panorama Ultra Trail” set off in Innsbruck. This race was conquered by JOHANNES LÖW, who finished in 05:31:01, ahead of Norway’s JRGEN JEVNE and Italy’s ENRICO GHENO. Germany’s LISA MÜNSTERER took the women’s victory with 07:02:47. The silver medal went to Norwegian ALEKSANDRA NARKOWICZ, just ahead of KATHARINA BERGS.
THRILLING STARTS IN MUTTERS The start at the base station of the Mutterer Alm is always a crowd favorite, offering stunning views and exciting race action. Three race distances launched from here. At 07:30, the K42 “Trail Marathon” began, and German runners dominated the event. MORITZ AUF DER HEIDE crossed the finish line first with a time of 3:58:04, followed by FLO WINKER and JULIAN BEUCHERT. SARAH KISTNER took the women’s win in 04:21:49, with Switzerland’s MIRIJAM NIEDERBERGER arriving five minutes later, just ahead of LISA WIMMER. At 10:00 and 12:30, the K35 “Discovery Race” and K25 “Trail Half Marathon” kicked off. One of the day’s standout performances came from ROBBIE SIMPSON, who finished the K35 in an astonishing 3:17:03. ISABELL BICHLER from Austria won the women’s K35 with 4:04:40, crossing the finish line in Innsbruck first. The K25 was won by adidas TERREX athlete JANOSCH KOWALCZYK in 1:51:55. About 20 minutes later, LENA RITZEL from Kempten claimed the women’s title.

AUSTRIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TRAIL CLASSIC & K15: NECK-AND-NECK RACING AND DESERVED TITLES
Later in the afternoon in Hall in Tyrol, the Austrian Championships were held as part of the K15. At 16:30, the Trail Classic Championship began. HANS-PETER INNERHOFER and THOMAS ROACH fought an intense neck-and-neck race, but INNERHOFER ultimately took the victory by seven seconds, securing the Austrian Championship title. Third place went to JOHANNES NUSSBAUMER, 3 minutes and 39 seconds behind.
In the women’s race, ISABELL SPEER took the win and became the new Austrian Champion in the Trail Classic with a time of 1:18:31. AMELIE MUSS came in second, followed by ANNA-SOPHIE MEUSBURGER in third.
