Elite in Innsbruck

The organizers of the World Mountain and Trailrunning Championships Innsbruck–Stubai 2023 are back with a spectacular event in 2026: IATF – TRAIL HUNT, a unique elite race in pursuit format.

Over two action-packed days, the best athletes will compete on the legendary WMTRC courses – only the fastest from the Vertical race qualify for the Trail Pursuit. The race offers an attractive total prize fund of €30,000.

A format built for power, precision, speed, and fearlessness — for those who thrive when the pressure rises. Not just another start line. A race where every gap, instinct, and move counts. Explosive. Unpredictable. Loud. Raw. The most intense trail running experience we’ve ever brought to the course.

Come ready. Come hungry. Come to hunt — or be hunted.

Requirements

  • Men with 750+ ITRA-Points
  • Women with 650+ ITRA-Points

Selected elite athletes must be available on both days for autograph sessions, meet & greet, press conferences, and panel discussions. Prize money will not be paid if athletes fail to appear.

PRIZE PURSE

The race offers an attractive total prize purse of €30,000, paid out only after a negative doping test. For the overall ranking, only athletes starting from the pursuit start are counted.
