INNSBRUCK, January 20th, 2025 – In exactly 100 days the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival 2025 (IATF) is taking place from April 30th to May 3rd, 2025. Once again, the Tyrolean Alps will take centre stage in the international trail running scene. Over 6,000 athletes and more than 50,000 visitors from around 65 nations are expected to participate in the largest trail running event in the German-speaking world and compete amidst the stunning mountain backdrop.

Anniversary Edition
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the organizers aim to outdo everything offered so far and have expanded the program even further. Over the course of four days, visitors can enjoy a comprehensive program, including an expo featuring over 35 exhibitors with all renowned outdoor sports brands. Attendees can also look forward to a vibrant food truck festival that promises culinary variety and delightful experiences. Additionally, an IATF special edition of the European Outdoor Film Tour will be showcased – combining cuisine, sports, and adventure in a unique way. An itinerary that should not be missed out.

New in 2025: The formats Vertical (VTC), Vertical Short (VTC-S), and the Young Talents Race (YTR) further expand the Innsbruck Alpine program. The Vertical is suitable for both beginners and ambitious trail runners seeking a medium-level challenge – perfect for anyone aiming high. Participants can choose between two distances: 6.9 kilometres with 1,350 meters of elevation gain (VTC) or 5.5 kilometres with 1,050 meters of elevation gain (VTC-S). Both races finish at the Seegrube, offering a phenomenal finale on Innsbruck’s Nordkette.

Young and enthusiastic trail runners also get their share. The Young Talents Race (YTR) targets youth and young adults aged 14 to 22. The race covers 7.3 kilometres with 250 meters of total elevation gain and is part of the Trail Youngsters Cup as of 2025.
