For those who like it short and intense, steep and technical, and don’t mind a little suffering along the way 😉.

Short Summary

The trail marathon feels a bit too long for you, and the half marathon not challenging enough? Then the K35 is just right for you. What’s saved in kilometers is made up for with technical difficulty and elevation. With more than 1,800 meters of ascent, this course is not to be taken lightly. The climbs to Mutter Alm and up the Nordkette are demanding, but the reward awaits at the finish line in front of the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck.

DETAILED TRACK DESCRIPTION

The K35 distance starts at the valley station of the Mutterer Alm and begins right away with a challenging climb toward the Raitiser Alm. From there, the trail continues on smooth, flowy paths up to the Mutterer Alm at 1,620 meters. These varied trails are every trail runner’s dream, and the stunning view down into the Inn Valley is the perfect reward for those early elevation gains.

Next, the course takes you on a fast downhill through the Götznergraben to Birgitz, and then into the Nasses Tal. The trail winds through lush forests and green meadows, leading you to Völs and finally to Kranebitten, where an aid station awaits – a chance to refuel before the final climb.

The Durrachsteig puts your endurance to the test one last time before you dive into the final descent to the Hungerburg. From there, it’s just a few more kilometers to the well-deserved finish line at the Landestheater in Innsbruck.
